The countdown is on to Thanksgiving…only a few more days. I am so glad to see how important your family and friends are to you and how thankful you are for the things you have been given. It is very easy for us to get caught up in the “getting” here at Christmas time. We tend to focus on ourselves this time of year and what great gifts we are going to receive. Do you all know the saying…”It is better to give than to receive”? It is one that we need to remember all the time, not just during the Holiday season.
This year I am going to donate some pajamas to the Children’s Hospital, I am going to help my church deliver pies to needy families and I am singing in the Twin Living Christmas Trees at my church. We hope to help lots of people come to know Jesus. What are you doing this year to help others instead of helping yourself? If you have not planned on doing anything…could you think of something?
That is so nice of you Mrs White… I dont know what i am doing, but our church normally has a soup kitchen, sowe will probally volentere for that as always. I will see you the rest of this week…wait…no I wont because we wont be here..yaaaay!!!!!!SO I WILL SEE YOU MONDAY!!!!!!(:
have a spectacular thanksgiving!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I don’t really know yet, but I could give some cans to the can drive at school or I could help people in my neighborhood with things. They have something at my church where you get a little paper that is shaped like a gingerbread person and it has a note on the back of it. Then in the note,it tells you what you could get the person. My family allways does that. Well I will see you tomorrow!
That is relly good to help others during the Christmas season. Do you go to North Spartanburg for church? I am asking because it has the twin Living Christmas Trees that I am thinking of! i used to go there, but now we go to Lake Bowen! It is right behind my house!!!!!!! That is not the reason though, it is a great church, too!!!!!!!! We just put up our Christmas Tree! i am so excited about tommorow! We are going to the Beach! Well, got to go! See you Friday(Tuesday, but it is really like a Friday)!!!! Ok, see you!
