Well it is back to school tomorrow….yuk…and I spent my whole break being sick….which one of you gave me those nasty germs?  At least I was able to rest a little.  I got a little bit of shopping done and my Christmas tree is now glowing brightly in my den!  Have you started the countdown for the next holiday break yet?  My favorite Christmas memory is going to my Grandma’s house with all my family and watching each other open gifts one at a time.  It took a long time but I never wanted it to end.  What is your favorite Christmas memory?

4 days and Counting November 18, 2007

The countdown is on to Thanksgiving…only a few more days.  I am so glad to see how important your family and friends are to you and how thankful you are for the things you have been given.  It is very easy for us to get caught up in the “getting” here at Christmas time.  We tend to focus on ourselves this time of year and what great gifts we are going to receive.  Do you all know the saying…”It is better to give than to receive”?  It is one that we need to remember all the time, not just during the Holiday season.

This year I am going to donate some pajamas to the Children’s Hospital, I am going to help my church deliver pies to needy families and I am singing in the Twin Living Christmas Trees at my church.  We hope to help lots of people come to know Jesus.  What are you doing this year to help others instead of helping yourself?  If you have not planned on doing anything…could you think of something?

So guys…Thanksgiving is only a week away…are you on the countdown?  I know I am.  Three whole days out of school and some time to spend with my family.  I am most thankful for my family.  Without them I would feel lonely.  My favorite aunt who lives in Texas will not be able to visit this year.  I will truly miss her.  What are you thankful for this holiday season?
